Supporting the Local Community

June 3rd saw the annual Martyrs Day Pilgrimage Celebrations in Namugongo, where Catholics and Anglicans meet in Namugongo to honour the martyrs at their shrines. Each year we help support care for the children who become lost, and are rescued and cared for by the Police.

Olivia handed over 50kg of Rice and 50kgs of Sugar to the Child and Family Protection Unit’s Officer, Henry Mukalazi. This support was given to Kira Police Station to help feed the orphans and vulnerable children rescued during the events at the Catholic and Anglican shrines at Namugongo.

The police rescued a total number of 65 children, and they were all resettled back to their biological families. We are grateful for this opportunity to support those children in need.
