Education Update
Great Results and Exciting Opportunities
We are delighted that the children performed very well in their end of year exams.
For those in Primary 7 and Senior 4, it was a very important time - Primary 7 exams (or Primary Leaving Exams as they are known) are their last exams before starting Secondary education, and Senior 4 exams are equivalent to O’ Levels or GCSE’s).
Primary Leaving Exams (PLE’s)
Naome, Praise and Destiny (Children’s Home), Isma (Resettled) and Joseph (Community Education Support Project) all got the results needed for them to do what they wanted to do next.
Senior 4 Exams
Daniel, Michael and Morris (Resettled), Susan (Fostered) and Enock (Community Education Support Project) all passed. Enock received a Division One pass with 24 aggregates; Michael and Daniel received Division Two passed; and Susan and Morris received Division Three passes.
Term One of the New Academic Year has Started
Israel, David and Desmond have started school for the first time in Baby Class.
Quite often, when children at the Home are resettled or fostered, we need to continue to pay for their school fees which enables them to continue to get an education, and an opportunity to break the cycle of disadvantage and poverty.

Vocational Education
We are always looking for ways to ensure that the children can reach their full potential, and for some the vocational training route is more suited.
Freda is studying a course in cosmetology; Sarah is studying tailoring; and Destiny is studying Agribusiness. He is passionate about his course and wants to become a farmer who will grow food to supply his community.
We wish all the children well in their forthcoming studies.
