Robot Wars – TR2 Charity Auction for Tŷ Cariad Africa
We are delighted to announce that Robot Wars TR2 family team of Alex, Clive and Wendy will be holding their second Charity Auction this summer, raising money for Tŷ Cariad Africa’s Education Fund.

This will be the second auction that Alex has run, having raised just under £4,000.00 for Cancer Research UK last year. Alex will be auctioning over 40 items from robots who have competed on Battlebots or Robot Wars, so if you’re a fan, here’s your opportunity to own a piece of roboteering history!
Here’s what Alex posted on his Facebook page…
“We are delighted to confirm that the money raised from the 2nd charity auction in the summer will be supporting Tŷ Cariad Africa’s Ugandan education project.
When we were deciding the charity, we went through many possibilities of whom to raise money for. However, after looking through the options we decided we wanted to raise money for education in a third world country. That way the robot teams from around the world can help contribute to a world cause, instead of just one in the UK.
With Ty Cariad Africa, we have been given a unique opportunity to watch as the money we raise directly influences the education of currently 73 children.
The money we raise will be going to the ‘300 club’ project.
“The 300 Club is a group of people who financially contribute to the education of children in Uganda in and around the Victory Child Care Project children’s home in Namugongo. The aim is to gain the support of 300 people who are willing to support us financially in providing an education for these children.”
