The whole day was spent at a non-stop pace, trying to complete unfinished tasks, and praise God, it all came together – just!!

There was great excitement from very early in the morning as the children (and the housemothers!) prepared for the whole family to visit Victory Christian Centre in Kampala for the first time in over 12 months! Everyone was wearing their new Tŷ Cariad polo shirts ready to sing as a family in front of the whole congregation.

Early this morning Douglas went to the airport to collect Cindy, Derek and Arthur. The dynamic duo went to St Kizitos. Paul Bangs was on the radio, and Joyce Josie and Kate were putting out the new mosquito nets and making a mobile for the baby. Paul T and Nathan went into Kampala to change money and the minibus. Teachers Jan and Jan (sounds like a double act!) went to St. Kizito’s School. Following a tour of the new day care centre and outdoor dining area, time was spent giving gifts and reading stories to Baby Class and Top Class. (more…)

What a busy and prosperous day!! Preparation was made in readiness for the arrival of the water tanks tomorrow, Didas completed the finishing touches to the floor where the tanks will sit, and plans for the roof were finalised (more…)
We travelled on very wet roads to the church meeting at Victory Christian Centre in Kampala, whilst Paul went to Entebbe airport to collect Joyce and Josie from their flight.

After a great breakfast the ladies went to Tŷ Cariad to play with the children and read a story. After this they sang some songs and had a fun packed craft afternoon. The children loved painting butterflies and whatever they wanted! (more…)
